"SASB Curriculum"
Brief
To organise a school contact program that developed and executed a structured Swachhta curriculum for children.
Insight
Habits take 21 days to form, yet schools lacked a systematic approach to hygiene and sanitation. By catching children young, sustainable behaviour change could be instilled and amplified within families and communities.
Idea/Execution
A 21-day behaviour change program was designed through a customised curriculum, delivered via textbooks taught by government school teachers under a ‘train the trainer’ model. Children were positioned as hygiene and sanitation ambassadors, spreading awareness beyond classrooms. Fun and interactive activities encouraged children to start conversations around hygiene at home, turning them into change agents for healthier communities.
Impact
- 5M+ children empowered with structured hygiene and sanitation education
- 33,500+ schools actively implementing the program
- Spread across 5 states, ensuring wide-scale adoption
- Created a new generation of ambassadors for hygiene and sanitation practices
